For more than twenty years, OBAT Helpers and the Indianapolis community have stood with families living in Bangladesh’s underserved camp communities — families who have waited generations for a way out.
Nothing changes that faster than education. When a child finishes school, earns a college seat, or becomes a professional, the impact doesn’t stop with them — it reaches their family, their community, and the generation that comes after.

Ustadh Saad Omar
Saad Omar graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in English and a master's in nonprofit management. He has studied Islam and Arabic in Mecca, Jordan, Turkey and across the United States, and has lectured widely across the United States, Canada and Europe.
He is a published songwriter and poet, a teacher and an entrepreneur. He is currently working on building a living community, nonprofit café and business incubator in Sterling, VA.
