Provides access to quality education for underserved and displaced communities across Bangladesh through schools, preschools, tutoring centers, digital learning, Arabic education, computer labs, and scholarship programs, reaching over 9,600 students in 2024.

Support Literacy and Education

According to the Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU)- a University of Dhaka affiliated research group, 94% of today’s Urdu speaking community are illiterate, compared with a national average of 46%.

Preschools PROJECTS

OBAT Helpers operates preschools (Through Digital Learning) offering early childhood education to underserved children. These preschools follow the National Curriculum of Bangladesh, supplemented with Early Childhood Development resources to build foundational literacy, numeracy, and social skills. Co-curricular activities, including sports, art, music, and family engagement programs, enhance social and emotional development. These schools create nurturing environments for 764 students.

  • Established in 2011 in Alamnagar, Rangpur as OBAT’s preschool initiative, this program provides early childhood education to underserved children in nearby camps, offering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning, creativity, and social development.

  • Founded in 2011, OBAT Pre-Schools in Halishahar, Ferozshah, and SB Nagar, Chattogram, offer pre-primary education to children from nearby camps. These schools provide quality education, once a privilege for the wealthy, now accessible to camp residents.

  • Founded in 2011, OBAT Pre School in Khalishpur and Gilatala, Khulna, offers pre-primary education to children in nearby camps. As OBAT’s first preschool in Khulna, it provides quality education that was once a privilege for the wealthy, opening doors for camp residents.

  • Established in 2018 in Latifpur Colony, Bogura as OBAT’s preschool initiative, this program provides early childhood education to underserved children in nearby camps, offering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning, creativity, and social development.

  • Established in 2015 in Saidpur as OBAT’s preschool initiative, this program provides early childhood education to underserved children in nearby camps, offering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning, creativity, and social development.

  • Founded in 2017, the Digital Learning Center in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, serves children aged 4-5 from nearby camps. OBAT now operates two such centers in the area, offering quality education through gamified tablet-based applications, an opportunity once reserved for the wealthy
