Qurbani Significance

Qurbani, also known as Udhiyah, is the sacred act of sacrificing an animal during the blessed days of Eid al-Adha. It is a powerful symbol of devotion, obedience, and gratitude to Allah (SWT), honoring the unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was willing to sacrifice his beloved son in submission to Allah’s command. In His mercy, Allah replaced the sacrifice with a ram, establishing this act as a tradition for Muslims around the world.

Each year, eligible Muslims offer Qurbani as an act of worship, with the meat distributed among family, friends, and those in need—ensuring that even the most vulnerable can share in the joy and nourishment of Eid.

In accordance with the Islamic principle of Tamleek, Obat Helpers ensures that Zakat is distributed in a manner that establishes clear ownership of the Zakat funds or assets by eligible beneficiaries. Wherever applicable, Zakat is given directly to recipients or provided in forms that result in their full and unconditional ownership, such as cash assistance, food packages, educational support, medical aid, or livelihood resources. Even when Zakat is utilized through structured programs or projects, Obat Helpers ensures that the ultimate benefit and ownership are transferred to Zakat-eligible individuals, fulfilling the Sharia requirement that Zakat reaches its rightful recipients with dignity, independence, and full compliance with Islamic jurisprudence.
