Since I was a child, I dreamt about becoming a doctor when I grew up. Everything was going right initially but various difficulties and obstacles came in the way when I was in grade six. Since my father worked as a night security guard, it was difficult for him to bear my educational expenses. My dream was about to be nipped in the bud just like the dreams…

Abul Khayer crossed paths with OBAT in 2010 as a student at the OBAT Tutoring Center. When the staff saw his potential, OBAT decided to give him a scholarship to continue his High School and then his BBA degree. In August 2013, he joined OBAT’s Dhaka Tutoring Center as a teacher. By 2014, he had been given the responsibility to run the entire center.

Afrin Jahan Swapna’s journey is a reminder of why OBAT exists. With courage, resilience, and the support of her mother and the OBAT family, she turned hardship into possibility. Today, she’s pursuing an MBA, serving her community, and inspiring the next generation of girls who dream beyond their circumstances.
