Zachary Rockwood is a U.S.-born cinematographer and filmmaker based out of Mexico City and Los Angeles. He is known for his intimate, character-driven, verité style of filming. He has worked across 50 countries, often in hostile environments with marginalized communities or those living on the fringes of society.
His work has been featured in VICE, The New York Times, HBO, Showtime, Netflix and The Daily Show. He has collaborated with renowned filmmakers such as Louie Psihoyos (The Cove), Bing Liu (Minding the Gap), Kirby Dick & Amy Zeiring (The Invisible War), Posy Dixon (Keyboard Fantasies), John Maringouin (Big River Man) and Lance Bangs (Portlandia, Various).
